We recently returned from a quick trip to Washington DC for the wedding of Erin and Koonal. We met his parents and some of his family. They originally came from India, but Koonal was born here and has lived here all his life. I have posted several pictures on facebook.
We squeezed in a short visit to the DC zoo one morning as it threatened rain. We saw the famous pandas--one of the main reasons for going to the zoo. We enjoyed spending time with Cassy in the car and having her with the family for a week.
Leah started Longview College before we left on the trip and we reluctantly left her behind to continue her first week of classes. She did fine and we are grateful for the members in our ward who checked on her for us while we were gone.
We came home to an abundance of tomatoes in the garden. So we have been doing some canning.
