Wednesday we went on one of the trails at Burr Oak woods.  It was the Bethany Falls trail, but we will probably call it the woodpecker trail because of all the woodpeckers we saw on it this time.  We saw three different kinds.  Red bellied, Red headed, and Pilated Woodpeckers. I only have a picture of the red-headed.

Autumn leaves

We went for a walk in Mt. Washington to see the beautiful leaves before they were knocked down from the predicted rains.  The rains did come and we were in a little hail before we drove out of the cemetery. 

 This hillside was so colorful.

Penguins

 Mary and I checked out the new penguin exhibit at the zoo after it had been open a couple days.  It is amazing.

 We can watch them underwater.

 There are LCD screens showing a live view of the penguins from up above.

 One area for the Humbolt penguins is outside.

There is a coral aquarium with several different colorful fish.

Powell Gardens and Lego Sculptures

 These sculptures are huge and fun to look at.  We really enjoyed our walk here.

 I found a hummingbird moth.

 I think this with the fox and rabbit is Elizabeth's favorite.

 I chased this zebra swallowtail around and finally got some pictures.
