Yesterday while trimming one of our bushes, I startled a large moth and it flew out. It was huge. Gratefully it flew around our yard and landed in one of our trees low enough to look at it closely and get a picture. We believe it is a polyphemus moth. I knocked on the window and told Elizabeth to come out with her camera and this is a picture of the beautiful creature. You can see how large it is by comparing it to the oak leaf.
